General overview

The Dream Center in Quito is a transformative project dedicated to providing a second chance to local street children and youth. As a volunteer, you play a crucial role in assisting these children with their homework, providing hygienic education, and engaging them in various activities. 

Many of these children have faced significant challenges, including being born to drug-addicted parents, experiencing life on the streets, and enduring violence, abuse, or neglect. Your role as a volunteer is to empower them and show them that they are valued and important, regardless of their background, race, economic status, or educational level.
We support over 100 children, although they attend at different times of the day. Whether in the morning or afternoon, each child receives a nutritious lunch and practices good hygiene by brushing their teeth afterward.

Our goal is to emphasize the importance of education in breaking the cycle of hardship and ensuring these children have a brighter future. With the support of funding and sponsors, we send the children to school, covering costs such as uniforms, books, and materials that their families may struggle to afford.

• Volunteer to conduct school visits to monitor enrolled children's attendance, grades, and abilities. Regular visits to local schools ensure we stay updated and can provide necessary support to each child.

• Volunteer to organize fun and engaging recreational activities for children during their breaks or after homework. Lead fun workshops to spark their creativity, and organize cool activities like sports, art, and music. 

• Help children with their homework and make a difference in their education! Many children fall behind in school due to a lack of support at home. As a volunteer, you can provide invaluable assistance, especially if you have experience in a specific academic area. 

• As a volunteer, you can provide essential assistance in the kitchen, helping the staff manage mealtime and ensuring that the children clean up after themselves. Your support not only helps create a smooth and organized lunchtime experience but also fosters a sense of responsibility and independence in the children.
